We will once again witness the greatness of Olympic and two-time World Champion, world record holder (52.16) 400 metres hurdler Dalilah Muhammad. Family comes first for Dalilah, especially her mother.

She will have serious competition from meet record holder (54.16), Jamaican Janieve Russel (PB 53.46). The U20 World Champion has already won five Diamond League competitions and is fond of Székesfehérvár as her Instagram account suggests.

Last year’s Spiriev-Bojidar trophy winner, silver medallist of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics Orlando Ortega (PB 12.94) will return as well. The Cuban born 110 metres hurdler is currently second on the world rankings and winning last year is a pleasant memory for him.

He will go up against Olympic finalist Devon Allen (PB 13.03) who is a three-time National Champion in the 110 metres hurdles and National Champion of the 60 metres hurdles.

Blessing Okagbare also returns. A few days ago, she became the joint second fastest sprinter of all time after she finished in 10.63 in the 100 metres at the Nigerian Nationals, though with higher than allowed wind assistance (+2.7). She won the silver medal in the long jump at the Olympics in Beijing. She is a true entertainer.

Will Claye (PB 18.14) will headline the triple jump along with Donald Scott (17.43). Will has two silver medals from the Olympics in triple jump and a bronze medal in the long jump. He is also a two-time indoor World Champion. Donald made the finals in Doha at the World Championships and is a five-time National Champion.

Last year’s half marathon World Champion Ugandan Jacob Kiplimo (7:26.64) is expected to participate in the 3000 metres. He won the Diamond League in Rome last year with the best time of his life.

We will also see World Championship silver medallist high jumper Mikhail Akimenko (PB 2.35). He is also a three-time National Champion and an U20 World Champion.

Last year’s winner of the 200 metres Lynna Irby will compete in the 400 metres this time (PB 49.70). She has won an U18 and U20 World Championship and a Pan American Games, all as a member of the 4X400 metres relay team.
