{"id":5107,"date":"2025-04-07T13:38:51","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T11:38:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gyulaimemorial.hu\/?p=5107"},"modified":"2025-04-08T05:39:10","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T03:39:10","slug":"the-gyulai-istvan-memorial-returns-to-budapest-ten-stars-already-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gyulaimemorial.hu\/en\/news\/the-gyulai-istvan-memorial-returns-to-budapest-ten-stars-already-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"The Gyulai Istv\u00e1n Memorial returns to Budapest, ten stars already announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>At a press conference, the organizers of the Gyulai Istv\u00e1n Memorial \u2013 Hungarian GP officially announced that after eleven years in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r the meeting returns to Budapest where its history started fifteen years ago.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The WACT Gold meeting will be on 12 August in the National Athletic Center in Budapest, venue of the 2023 World Athletics Championships and the 2026 World Athletics Ultimate Championship.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mikl\u00f3s Gyulai, president of the Hungarian Athletics Association praised the work of the organizers:\u201cThank you for allowing us to remember my father with this competition in a great manner,\u201d he said.The meeting is very important for our sport in Hungary and we are very proud that our top athletes can compete with many world stars in front of a home crowd in this wonderful stadium.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>P\u00e9ter Deutsch, president of the organizing committee emphasized the importance of the meeting in terms of the successful World Athletics championships, as well. \u201cWe are grateful to the beautiful town of Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r for the superb hospitality throughout the over one decade. Thank you, Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r!\u201d said P\u00e9ter Deutsch. It is a wonderful feeling to arrive to the National Athletic Center where our beloved sport can show again, why it is worth choosing it!<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The program includes 19 international events plus several national and youth disciplines.
