The popularity of the event \u2013 thanks to the electric atmosphere, packed stands, and unforgettable moments of previous editions \u2013 is clearly reflected by the fact that over 3,000 tickets have already been sold since the announcement. With <strong>100 days to go<\/strong>, it\u2019s safe to say that we can look forward to one of the most anticipated one-day meetings in athletics this year.<\/p>\n<p>This is backed up by a stellar lineup of global stars already confirmed to compete. Among them: the 1st in WA overall ranking, 2x Olympic champion, 2x world champion, world record holder pole vault phenomenon, <strong>Armand Duplantis<\/strong>; in the 400m hurdles, Olympic and world champion, <strong>Femke Bol<\/strong>; youngest world champion in hammer throw history, <strong>Ethan Katzberg<\/strong>; and two-time Olympic long jump gold medalist, <strong>Miltiadis Tentoglou<\/strong>. And the list is far from final \u2013 the organizers are actively negotiating with more top-tier athletes, with further exciting announcements expected soon from Attila Spiriev, sports director of the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>At the same venue that hosted the 2023 World Athletics Championships, fans will of course also be able to cheer on Hungary\u2019s own elite athletes. These include Olympic silver medalist, 2x world bronze and 2x European silver medalist, <strong>Bence Hal\u00e1sz<\/strong>; this year\u2019s European indoor champion, <strong>Attila Moln\u00e1r<\/strong> \u2013 who also placed fourth and fifth at Indoor Worlds and claimed bronze with the 4\u00d7400m relay; <strong>Luca Koz\u00e1k<\/strong>, national record-holder in the 100m hurdles and silver medalist at the European Championships; and <strong>Bogl\u00e1rka Tak\u00e1cs<\/strong>, two-time U23 European silver medalist and indoor European finalist, who has also made it to the Olympic and World Championships semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Part of World Athletics&#8217; prestigious Continental Tour Gold series, the Gyulai Istv\u00e1n Memorial is a cornerstone of consistency in the global athletics calendar \u2013 and justifiably ranked among the best and most competitive one-day meetings in the world.
