On August 12, Budapest\u2019s National Athletic Center will host the Gyulai Istv\u00e1n Memorial \u2013 Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix, and the organizers have recently announced a new wave of world-class athletes set to compete. Just a couple of days after unveiling a star-studded roster, even more top-tier names have been confirmed.<\/p>\n
Among the standout participants of this World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series\u2019 event will be two of America\u2019s pole vaulting greats: Sam Kendricks<\/strong> and Christopher Nilsen<\/strong>. Kendricks is a two-time world champion and Olympic silver medallist, while Nilsen boasts Olympic and World Championship silver medals \u2013 both athletes have personal bests exceeding the six-meter mark.<\/p>\n In men\u2019s shot put, fans can look forward to seeing Joe Kovacs<\/strong>, the two-time world champion and three-time Olympic silver medallist, who is a crowd favorite and proud of his Hungarian heritage.<\/p>\n The women\u2019s long jump promises plenty of excitement as well, with the participation of American indoor world champion Claire Bryant<\/strong> and Serbia\u2019s Milica Garda\u0161evi\u0107<\/strong>, a two-time winner of the Gyulai Memorial.<\/p>\n The women\u2019s pole vault will also feature an elite field of international stars. Competing will be Great Britain\u2019s Molly Caudery<\/strong>, the indoor world champion with a personal best of 4.92 meters, placing her among the global elite. She\u2019ll be joined by Slovenia\u2019s Tina \u0160utej<\/strong>, a multiple-time indoor European silver medallist and consistent member of the world\u2019s top ranks for many years. From New Zealand, Eliza McCartney<\/strong> \u2013 Olympic bronze medallist in 2016 and indoor world silver medallist \u2013 will also compete, boasting a personal best of 4.94 meters.<\/p>\n With less than two months to go, the legend continues! Organizers have already announced several world-class participants, with more big names expected to be confirmed soon.<\/p>\n
